Welcome to the Sobeys Quarter Century Club

The roots of the Sobeys Quarter Century Club reach deep into the company’s history. Frank H. Sobey felt strongly that employees who worked faithfully and loyally a significant part of their career should be recognized and honoured. So in 1969, the Sobeys Quarter Century Club was launched with a grand total of 12 members.

Members from all across Canada

To be eligible to join the Quarter Century Club, an employee must work continuously for 25 full time years, or have an adjusted service date of 25 years. Originally, the Quarter Century Club only had members from the Stellarton office, Nova Scotia stores and warehouses. Over the years, however, it has expanded to reflect our changing and ever-growing company.

Celebrating loyalty and experience

Becoming a member of the Quarter Century Club is celebrated in different ways across the country - from special luncheons to evening celebrations. But no matter how this important milestone is celebrated, it is truly a significant achievement which demonstrates that loyalty and experience are as important today as they were when the Quarter Century Club began back in 1969.
