What do you remember most about your first day on the job?
I was an overwhelmed 17-year-old cleaning the meat department.
What is the best part of working at Sobeys?
When I leave a store I miss the people there, but then I go to a new store with strangers who become friends.
What is your proudest moment as a Sobeys employee?
When I was named manager of a department.
What is your favourite memory from the past 25 years?
Our great Christmas parties are some of my better memories.
What advice would you give to a new Sobeys employee?
Show up on time and take pride in your work. If a customer enjoys their experience here, they'll come back; it's up to us to give them a good experience. Sobeys is part of my life.
