What do you remember most about your first day on the job?

Being involved in the community, supplying the community with fresh produce. Personally speaking, it's the friends that I have made, and especially that I met my wife at Sobeys.

What is the best part of working at Sobeys?

Being recognized for ideas, and rolling these out to other stores. I also love when I get compliments about my staff if some- body has provided good customer service to our customers.

What is your proudest moment as a Sobeys employee?

During Smart Retailing I enjoyed seeing other stores and meeting other managers. We had a 25-year dinner and were recognized for the work we had done.

What advice would you give to a new Sobeys employee?

Don't be afraid to make a mistake; you learn more that way.
