What do you remember most about your first day on the job?
We were busy, busy, busy! We were still in the old Black Diamond Pharmacy where I had worked for six years until Lawtons bought them. It was six months before the new building on Commercial Street was ready.
What is the best part of working at Sobeys?
The customers feel like family; it's fun meeting different people and my coworkers are great; some of us have been here for over 20 years.
What is your proudest moment as a Sobeys employee?
When they made me the beauty advisor; it was a different job and I liked it then and I still enjoy it.
What advice would you give to a new Sobeys employee?
Do what you're able to do; if you need help, ask. But relax and have fun with it.
