What do you remember most about your first day on the job?
My first shift was eight hours of washing the bottom shelves throughout the entire store on my knees with an SOS pad.
What is the best part of working at Sobeys?
The wonderful friends I have made through my travels. The company has always treated me well; I like the family connection.
What is your proudest moment as a Sobeys employee?
Seeing employees I hired reach their personal goals with the company. One produce clerk later became produce manager and then became a store manager.
What advice would you give to a new Sobeys employee?
Work hard and be smart about it -- learn from others who are currently in those roles. There are a lot of really smart, experienced people and they're always willing to help.
