What do you remember most about your first day on the job?
My first day was at the opening of the first store in Cambridge, ON. I quickly realized that the most important job that day was having buggies ready for customers, and that comfortable shoes are important!
What is the best part of working at Sobeys?
When I joined Sobeys, the Category team in Ontario was small. I was exposed to a lot, and trusted to make decisions for the right reasons. The knowledge gained from spending time in stores formed the basis for many decisions I make today.
What is your proudest moment as a Sobeys employee?
Receiving Value Champion recognition three times in three different roles.
What advice would you give to a new Sobeys employee?
Retail gets harder every day, but with hard work and going the extra mile, you can succeed. Stay real!
