What do you remember most about your first day on the job?
I was 16 and it was my first job. I was very nervous.
What is the best part of working at Sobeys?
The family atmosphere truly makes it feel like home, and after 30 years I've made a lot of relationships on a personal level. Treating customers like family keeps them coming back -- sometimes it's the highlight of our days.
What is your proudest moment as a Sobeys employee?
When I was promoted to department manager at 22 years old.
What is your favourite memory from the past 25 years?
The grand opening of Sobeys #747 was really exciting. It was a brand new store.
What advice would you give to a new Sobeys employee?
Stay real and chase your goals and dreams every day.
