What do you remember most about your first day on the job?

Building relationships with store owners and their staff. When you work with them on an ongoing basis you get to know them, which is nice.

What is the best part of working at Sobeys?

The payroll provider for the corporate and franchise stores went bankrupt; my colleagues and I worked together to quickly organize it in one day so that everybody got paid on time.

What is your favourite memory from the past 25 years?

When I went on medical leave suddenly, my co-workers were supportive and stepped up while I was off.

What advice would you give to a new Sobeys employee?

Be open to learning, be respectful of your co-workers and stay positive through times of change.
