What do you remember most about your first day on the job?

I was 14, a shy young kid, and working in the deli got me out of my shell. I started when there was no metric system, no UPC codes, it was a different world. I always liked the interactions with the customers.

What is the best part of working at Sobeys?

Developing other managers, sometimes from 16 years old, you watch them progress. That makes me feel good, it's very satisfying.

What is your proudest moment as a Sobeys employee?

The day that Sobeys gave me a job offer after Commisso's was purchased; I was glowing.

What advice would you give to a new Sobeys employee?

Try to learn something every day. Always be learning.
