What do you remember most about your first day on the job?

The best part is the relationships I have cultivated with my co-workers and customers. Because our customers are mostly Orthodox Jews, our food is about 90 per cent kosher and we have rabbis on staff to advise on procedures and preparing food.

What is the best part of working at Sobeys?

I'm proud when our student employees come back to visit after they move on.

What is your proudest moment as a Sobeys employee?

I developed a better understanding of Jewish traditions with my first Hanukkah; the food is a little different, but we're all the same.

What advice would you give to a new Sobeys employee?

Always challenge yourself to be a better employee, it will serve you well in your career.
